PROGRAM DETAILS
PROGRAM OF STUDY
Students in the NRP School of Ministry will earn credit from in-person and online classes, an assigned book per month on the topic of studies, and a local church internship.
LIVE TEACHING WEEKENDS (LTW's)
Our LTW’s, held in early January and August, are so important that they have become mandatory for a student to attend in order to participate in the program. That’s why we give you the dates as soon as you are accepted into the program!

These weekends consist of classes taught by NRP pastors and leaders, times of prayer and worship, workshops, discussion groups, Q & A sessions, impartation by the faculty, a Sunday service, and introduction of the next quarter’s topical focus.
SATURDAY COHORTS
In early April and November, students will gather with their cohort for a day of teaching and fellowship with their mentor and guest teachers. Locations will be announced in January at the live teaching weekend.
MONTHLY ZOOM CALL
Students will join their cohort on a monthly ZOOM call. At these meetings, the cohort mentor will discuss highlights from the book that was read the month before; introduce the next term’s ministry focus and textbook; and review the new syllabus/homework assignments for the upcoming month.
ONLINE VIDEO COURSES
Students will take eight hours of self-paced, online video classes each month as they progress through various topics of ministry. These will be taught by NRP pastors and leaders who are passionate about the topics they are teaching. Several corresponding homework assignments will be part of each month’s studies.
READING ASSIGNMENT
A book corresponding to the month’s ministry topic will be assigned.
BIBLE SURVEY COURSE
An independent study, Bible Survey course progressing from Genesis to Revelation will be taken, along with monthly Bible reading and homework assignments.
LOCAL CHURCH MINISTRY INTERNSHIP
A minimum of 12 hours monthly will be served in a ministry at the student’s local church. Two times during the school year, the student will meet with their pastor to review their ministry experiences, share about their studies in the school, and assess the spiritual growth they have seen in themselves and their ministry.
CREDITS EARNED AND GRADUATION
Students completing all the requirements for graduation will be awarded an Associate Degree of Church Leadership from the NRP School of Ministry. The school has received exempt, degree-granting status in the state of Indiana, and the awarded degree will primarily be recognized in churches, ministry-based organizations, and employment settings. Because of the format and style of the curriculum presented, the credits earned while studying at the NRP School of Ministry will not transfer to an accredited college.
Students needing to drop out of the school unexpectedly will retain their credits earned for all classes completed and may reapply to continue studying at the start of the month that they left the school. They will also be asked to attend the April cohort meeting or the closest LTW to the date that they dropped out the year before in order to meet their mentor and the other students in their cohort.
